The Mo'shroom at Byron, London

So if you’re not from London, Byron is a burger joint scattered around the city. It’s a great place when you just want a good burger down the road, so much better than a crappy McDonalds. They’ve got something for everybody – even a skinny burger with no bun for those that are watching their carb-intake, aka. perfect for me!

What I love about here is they do a special burger every month, and this month they’re doing a Movember-themed burger called The Mo’Shroom. Every November since 2010 they’ve teamed up with Movember, the global moustache-growing charity, who raise money and awareness to help beat prostate and testicular cancer.

Hanging out with 3 boys, there’s bound to be beers. Shame I’ve never been able to be a beer girl! Cider is pretty much all I can do.

Instead, I wanted a milkshake. They have the most delicious oreo milkshakes, which I would always order in my chubbier days. Unfortunately for me, it’s beach bod season round 2 this year since I’m heading down under in December, so I have to do my best to be good. Which means no milkshake for me. Drats. None of the guys ordered it either so I couldn’t live through them. Bastards.

Alex went for the classic Byron burger, which is a beef patty with dry cute bacon, mature Cheddar, lettuce, tomato. red onion and Byron sauce.

Phil and Niall ordered the Mo’Shroom, which is 6oz hamburger, Portobello mushroom, Emmenthal, streaky bacon, shredded iceberg, red onion and cep aioli.

God, it looked good. The boys tucked in to what they said were delicious burgers whilst I was drooling.

There was nothing I wanted more than that Mo’Shroom. I would have ordered it with a side of chips and a big, fat oreo milkshake. Instead, I ordered the CLASSIC COB SALAD WITH NO BACON AND DRESSING ON THE SIDE. I felt like such a woman ordering it. I better look like a Victoria’s Secret angel come December…

I was not a happy bunny.

To be fair, it was a nice salad. Would have been better with bacon. Rammed in a bun. And if it was a burger.
