Camel Milk at The Majlis, Dubai

Oh heyyyy, just chilling in Dubai!

Being currently based out in London, all I wanted to do was lie on a beach and soak up the sun. However. these little rascals have all been getting their Vitamin D daily, so they weren’t as eager to hop into a bikini and start to (try) bronzing.

Instead, we ended up indoors in air conditioning at the Dubai Mall. Not that I was complaining – the Dubai Mall is the biggest shopping mall in the world aka. has EVERYTHING and was absolutely sick. At first peak, we ended up in the Souk section.

We instantly found somewhere to sit down and have a nice drink. We’d been walking ages (okay, 20 minutes) and it was time for a coffee break. At the camel milk cafe.

As a family, we’re always up for trying something different, so we were very excited to be trying camel milk. When in Dubai, right?

Some were more excited than others.

I stared at their little pastries from a (fairly) safe distance.

However, Mum decided to get up-close and personal.

I ended up having these babies sat in front of me. Sabotager.

I’m weak.

I bet she planned this all along so she didn’t have to eat them all herself. I can see right through this chick.

Further sabotage happened when the waitress (very kindly) gave us some free camel milk chocolate to try. 1. I’ve never had camel milk chocolate and 2. It’d be plain rude not to. Carpe diem!

Okay, maybe she was just trying to make a sale.

As cute as they were, I wasn’t actually a massive fan of the chocolate itself. Even shaped as an adorable camel.

I was however willing to give camel milk another go, and ordered chocolate flavoured camel milk. Their menu was on an Ipad.

Chocolate milk is my favourite drink, so it had a lot to live up to.

Ming ordered Date flavoured chocolate milk.

Sorry, we had to.

It was really good. I take back what I said about you, camel milk. Camel milk chocolate, on the other hand, can jog on. The thought of milking camels hadn’t actually occurred to me.

Dad ordered a coffee, topped off with camel milk.

Mama Bridges, the adventurous, crazy cat that she is, got an… Iced tea.

You can take the woman out of Singapore, but you can’t take Singapore out of the woman! Good thing she’s so cute.
