Juice at Juice Tonic, London

It’s no secret that I love juice. Many of my ideal mornings have consisted of pilates then juice, getting my nails done then juice, shopping and juice. It’s the easiest, best, tastiest way to get all your essential vitamins and minerals in, especially from the veg that I absolutely hate, since it’s blended with yummier, sweeter fruit so I can’t taste the other crap. Hooray!
That’s why when I heard about Juice Tonic in Soho, I had to pay a visit. Soph and I strolled down and found it tucked away in Winnett Street. I was excited to get my juice on, especially since I’d been doing it everyday on my trip to Bali.

As soon as we entered, it was like a little juice paradise.

They have a great big menu full of smoothies, juices, healthy coffees and teas (full of good additives), pharmacy shots, you name it.

Here’s a clearer view…

They also do a Juice Tonic Cleanse. I did a Juice Detox before, and having one fully prepared for you without lifting your finger (just your wallet) would be pretty nice.

On their counter were a lot of their health supplements laid out. They use a lot of Chinese herbs and other healthy supplements to make whatever you’re sipping on even more golden for your body.

They sell lots of products there as well.

Including this iodine – apparently the most amazing one on the market. I mentioned this to Ming and she raved on about how good iodine is for you.

How cute are their little pots for their healthy shots?

The rest of the store is pretty nice as well..

DRAGON’S BREATH SHOT? HOW COOL DOES THAT SOUND? I fully expect to turn into Charizard or something after I drink it. Damn, I just wanted to try everything. Do I go for organic milk?

Or a classic wheatgrass shot?

Marco, the lovely owner, was more than happy to chat about everything they had to offer (which was a lot). He mentioned that their smoothie, Green Giant, was really popular, so I thought I’d give it a go. He whipped it up for me whilst I scanned the menu to see what I was missing out on.

Everything had such cool names. Soph and I were giggling over something called Cat’s Claw, which he happily showed us.

Damn it was cool. I would have happily stayed all day to learn more about all these amazing things. I’d become a health goddess.

We shuffled back to the counter to wait for juice.

Marco really sweetly gave us a shot of the Green Loft for us to try. It was kale, apple, ginger, pear, lemon, cucumber and spinach.

We clicked and hoped for the best.

It was so good! Soph exclaimed how she was expecting anything green and as a shot to taste horrifically, but it wasn’t like that at all. Look at her finish it off.

Soph went for a tonic tea – Cat’s claw & pau d’arco. Marco had convinced her with the cat’s claw. Also it sounded super cool.

He ran over with a pot of He Shou Wu to add into the tea to make it extra special for her.

He then whipped out a photo of how it looks when it’s grown. It was amazing. The plant actually looked like a person’s body! Give it a little google if you’re bored (which you must be if you’re reading this post), trust me it’s worth looking at!

Back to my juice, the Green Giant. Pineapple, banana, kale, spinach, chia seeds and spirulina. I was excited for my health kick. Usually it’s with apple juice, but Marco said he preferred his with coconut milk, so I went for it.

It was a thing of green beauty.

As expected, being one of the most popular, it tasted absolutely amazing. So many healthy things all blended into one. I really, really dislike kale, but blended in with all these yummies, I couldn’t even tasted it. Hooray for the health benefits!

Before we went, Ale, who also works for Juice Tonic, said we couldn’t leave before trying one of their Raw Cacao balls.

I was a little hesitant at first. I’d tried a few of these and it’s kind of a hit or miss – some are delicious, and some were awful.

Sophie was hesitant too, but I convinced her to give it a go and we split it 50/50.

The moment of truth..

Thank the Lord, it was amazing. Sophie agreed too (and this chick doesn’t lie) and gobbled her half up as quickly as I did. It would have been super awkward if it was horrible and I had to fake an ‘mmmmm’ face.

Sadly, lunch hour was coming to an end and we had to leave. At least I know about this place now and can come back all the time. I gave it a goodbye kiss and we were off.

Shit, I love juice!

    Hi Bianca
I loved reading your article on Juice Tonic. It sounds like you are into health and juice! I make a supergreen juice that no one else makes in the UK and I thought I’d let you have my website. It’s hemp juice which is more potent than any of the other supergreen juices. It contains CBDa and is raw, organic and packed with goodness.
Do get in touch if you’d like to know more.
    Thanks
    Katherine
