I have a friend called Chris. Chris is afraid of cereal. Cereal Killer Cafe would be Chris’ worst nightmare.
You might have heard of it or seen it on Instagram by now. In addition to their first shop in brick lane, they’ve opened up one in Camden with beds so you can have ‘breakfast in bed’ – cute hey?
I’ve been dying to go for so long, and I-Mae and I took the plunge and went to the original. This was our not-so-healthy but EXTREMELY exciting dinner time.
There’s a shelf of English cereals and a shelf of American ones.
There’s a whole menu that tells you the different milks they have and toppings for the cereals, as well as pre-made cereal combinations (Unicorn Poop sounded like my favourite)!
You can also get Pop Tarts and toasts with different spreads.
Even cereal artwork.
And a shelf full of special, limited-edition cereals. These are sadly display-only, you can’t order them.
Pokémon cereal and I were clearly never meant to be.
What a place, hey?
With different sized bowls you can mix a different amount of cereals. Small is 1 type, Medium 2 and Large 3.
We were allowed to try cereals though to make sure that it was exactly what we wanted. I-Mae and I locked eyes with Waffle Crisp and had to try it.
After a little (a lot) of contemplation, a decision was made.
The place is very small, so we happily carried our tray to the window seat, as the tables were taken.
My order was a MASTERPIECE.
Peanut Butter Toast Crunch, Mini Cinnamon Churros, Waffle Crisp were my cereals of choice. Topped with Peanut Butter Chips, Rainbow Sprinkles and a Hungry Hippo. And chocolate milk.
I-Mae had also had worked her bowl into a piece of art.
Lucky Charms, Peanut Butter Crunch, Waffle Crisp with Maltesers and semi skimmed milk.
My inner-kid’s dream just came true. Best. Dinner. Ever.
