Breakfast at 26 Grains, London

I was officially counting down the days until I moved to Copenhagen for half a year. That only meant one thing – to hit up as many breakfast places on my list in London before I went!

Ming had been dying to visit 26 Grains for the longest of times. Boy went pretty often and said how amazing it was. I’m not really a porridge fan, so I was a bit worried I would hate it and awkwardly play with it…

We got there, and it’s a lovely little space!

We umm-ed and ahh-ed over the menu a little. I genuinely asked “So if I’m not a huge porridge fan, what should I start with?” The owner, Alex, is absolutely lovely, and helped me out.

We sat outside and soaked up the beauty of Neil’s Yard in the early morning.

Ming ordered herself a Ginger Tea.

Then, it was porridge time!

I went for the Banana Cacao since it looked delicious and was also a vegan option. Almond milk oats, coconut yoghurt, cacao nibs, banana and date syrup.

Ming went for the Blueberry – Coconut milk oats, blueberry compote, strawberries, almond butter and toasted coconut.

The verdict?

Insanely good. I enjoyed every bite, which says so much for someone who doesn’t like porridge!
