Good morning, Day 2 in Stockholm!
Was it a good morning though? I mean, yes we were in Stockholm. But it was also pissing it down with rain which meant we had super sexy blue rain ponchos on. It also meant that we bailed on our supercool rooftop tour of Stockholm because the visibility would have been super crappo, which I was gutted about. What to do instead?
Fabrique Stenugnsbageri was another on my Stockholm fika lists. I wish I was here for a couple of weeks so I could try even more out and make a list of the best (having 2 a day, of course).
As always, I drooled a little too closely over. Every. Single. Thing.
Oh freshly baked goods, what you do to me.
There were also a lot of juice and yoghurt options.
I, however, went straight for the filter kaffe (coffee for those of you who really, really need me to explain it to them).
It was more of a do-it-yourself thing. I filled her up real good. That’s what she said.
(Sorry I’ve been watching way too much The Office and Michael is in my head).
Gabby’s friend who was with us in the morning had ordered and sat down already whilst I was running up and down by the counter looking at food.
She got a Blueberry Bulle (a blueberry roll), which looked so, so good!
She also got a cheeky sandwich.
FYI I spent a solid hour trying to explain what ‘cheeky’ meant, (followed by a ‘cheeky nandos’) to my US pals as apparently it’s a UK thing. I really hope people understand when I use cheeky here because it’s pretty frequent!
Hayden got the same delicious Blueberry Bulle paried with a juice instead of a sandwich.
Look how happy she is. Actually it’s more of a polite ‘fuck off’ face since she was trying to eat.
I, once again, asked the lovely lady behind the counter what she recommended. I was a little afraid to try the Cardamom Bun (Kardamomma Bulle) but she told me it was her favourite. Well, I can’t turn down somebody’s favourite, can I?
Insanely good. I think I prefered the buns here to the last place we fika-ed, since it tasted like it had some sort of syrup in it which made it so much more delicious.
People were popping in and out buying baguettes and other baked deliciousness. Why do we leave tonight?
