Breakfast at Brewtown Newtown, Sydney

It’s always SO good to reunite with friends you haven’t seen in years. Today was a group of people who I went to school with in Singapore. To meet in Sydney was so weird, yet so nice. We all just happened to randomly be here for different reasons at the same time.

I’ve never ventured out to Newtown, so it was a first for me. Jesse thankfully picked me up, otherwise I would have had no idea how to get here. Google maps only gets me so far.

As soon as we got there, we were told it was a bit of a wait. Ashley had already gotten there, and they told us it would be 20 minutes, which wasn’t actually too bad. We could catch up for a bit, and we had to wait for Millie and her friend to arrive anyway. NO RUSH.

But, as suspected, it was worth it. Big lines and wait times tell you how good something is!

Although the back was still haunting me. Go away, Brewnuts.

Coffee, coffee, coffee.

I got a soy cappuccino. I am obsessed with soy cappuccinos. Because bon soy is the best thing in the world.

I’ve heard the ice coffees and lattes are great too.

Coffee here gets a massssssive thumbs up!

It was so nice to chat to these faces for a while. It honestly feels like I saw them yesterday.

And how better to reconnect than over brekkie?

The Poached Eggs on Toast with House Relish was a very popular choice. All 4 of them ordered it. Ashley got it with a side of Avocado Smash.

Jesse got his with Hash Browns. I’ve never seen cute little round hash browns before! Apparently they were insanely good.

THe other two had them nice and simple, as is.

I went all vegan up in here. I was expecting a vegan charity option on the menu, but oh how wrong I was.

It was the Vegan Bircher Muesli, Coconut, Macademia & Peanut with Mango & Passionfruit Salsa, Dehydrated Strawberries.

OH MY GOD, was it delicious. I freaking love bircher muesli, and a vegan one? With all these delicious mango, passionfruit, strawberry goodies? It was like a dream. A very colourful, beautiful dream.

We were a very happy bunch.

I think I’ll make my way down to Newtown more often. Vegan bircher muesli and soy cappuccinos for meeeeee!

Oh this looks so good! Brewtown was on my list of places to visit when in Sydney but I never got the chance to visit. Wish I did.

I guess it’s a good excuse to go back!
