Breakfast at Bean & Hop, London

I love running Breakfast London. You get to meet so many great people and visit so many fantastic gems. You also get to eat breakfast, which is another plus. (Also, if you don’t follow us on Instagram yet, it’s worth the follow I promise!)

After arriving back in London, I tried to fit in as many meetings and visits as I could. One of my visits was to Bean & Hop, a great little place in Earlsfield. It used to be a deli, but now they’re focusing on breakfast, coffee, craft beer and pizza. So everything great, really.

They even have a wall of craft beer where you can make your own little hamper of 6. For some reason I don’t have a picture of it, but it was really cool and I even made a little hamper for Boy. So much fun!

I invited Georgie to keep me company. I needed assistance in photography, and, well, eating. The more opinions, the better! The breakfast spread was a thing of beauty.

First, the Sweet Potato & Halloumi Stack. It comes with Beetroot Hummus, Grilled Aubergine, Rocket and Herb Oil. You can even make it a burger by adding a brioche bun.

I’m glad Georgie was with me, because she can tackle the meat dishes. Pork Belly & Potato Hash served with Pineapple & Bacon Jam, Spinach & Fried Burford Brown Egg. It’s one of their most popular dishes, and it looked crazy good. Georgie confirmed that it was in fact delicious.

The other most popular dish is a veggie dish, which was a big plus for me. Blackbean Fritters served with Smashed Avocado & Lime and a Tomato & Coriander Salsa.

Top it off with a capuccino and a soy capuccino and you’re golden.

Oh breakfast, how I will travel far and wide to love you.
