I didn’t know what steam punk was until I stepped inside Truth.
I was actually searching for the best coffee in Cape Town, and it came up as one of the best, if not the best. Armed with breakfast and a seriously cool theme, how could we not go?
Okay, I may have taken one too many pictures of the place. But it was insanely cool!
Although it’s a big space, it’s no secret. I put my name on the waiting list and waited around 15 minutes before we snagged the sofa.
It was time to fuel up with some seriously cute OJ branding.
Hello, Sir Fruit.
Boy ordered a Bulletproof Coffee, which he decided will be his new thing. It’s coffee blended with butter and coconut oil. He claims it’s seriously energising.
I sat snuggly with me soy latte. No spoonfuls of butter is touching my coffee.
I opted for the Mushroom Bruschetta – Mixed wild mushrooms in a creamy thyme ragout served on a slice of bruschetta topped with a soft poached egg.
Boy went for the Steampunk Benedict, their signature breakfast of sourdough toast, two softly poached free-range farm eggs, crispy bacon and silky hollandaise.
Breakfast was good, nothing to shout out about. But worth the trip for the coffee and the decor!
