The California Road Tripping Continues…

This is a little short and sweet but I just wanted to show you all the cute places Ming organised us to stop by, just in case you’re planning your own trip!

Solvang is the cutest little city in California, which just so happens to be Danish. It was nuts. Like I was back in Denmark.

There wasn’t heaaaps to do (well we didn’t really seek it out) apart from drooling over baked goods.

And taking more pictures of buildings.

And more bakeries…

It’s super touristy and super cute, definitely worth stopping by if you have time.

Our next stop was in San Simeon, but only to visit Hearst Castle. Again, the touristy thing to do. There are a lot of tours you can take, but we did the Grand Rooms Tour.

This place was MAGICAL. A real life Great Gatsby.

There is also the world’s most photographed pool, but sadly it was empty. At least the indoor pool was stunning.

We were feeling a little tired, but Ming insisted that we stopped at Piedras Blancas ‘Elephant Seal Rookery’, still in San Simeon. We moaned and sulked about it, but IT WAS INSANE.

We were worried if we wouldn’t see them, maybe a couple if we were lucky, but holy shit.

If you look into the distance of that photo, that’s not beach terrain, that’s more elephant seals. All across the beach. NEVER-ENDING.

Absolutely nuts. More food in the next post, I promise!
