I review a lot of places, but it’s not common that I rave about a restaurant to absolutely everyone, so that’s when you know it’s golden.
Eggbreak is one of those places. Opened by Soho House, I already assumed it had to be pretty good because bloody everything is good by them! So it’s safe to say I was intrigued.
The first win was the coffee. A stellar soy flat white.
The next win was their breakfast. You have no idea how difficult it was to pick what to order. They don’t have an overly huge menu, but everything sounded insanely good.
I absolutely knew I had to order the Cornbread Waffles. Usually it’s bacon, fried eggs, hot honey-butter and spicy ketchup, but of course I got it without the bacon. Still absolutely fantastic in my opinion.
We also had to get a classic in the mix – Smashed Avocado on Sourdough. They mixed up the dish with some poached eggs, kale, lime, chilli, coriander, and there’s an option to add chorizo (which of course I didn’t).
It was great, don’t get me wrong. It’s just such a classic that I already knew what to expect, and everything else was SENSATIONAL that I reckon you should get one of the other dishes to try something new.
This was THE dish. It was Crunchy French Toast – banana & blueberry, cinnamon and brown butter maple syrup. Genuinely life-changing.
What an absolutely crazy-delicious breakfast.

If you hit up one place for breakfast this week, it should be here. Also, Boy and I have gotten their burgers a fair few times since then (the veggie bun is ABSOLUTELY CRAZY GOOD), and of course that banging french toast for dessert.
Breakfast, lunch or dinner. This place is gold!
