Dinner at Gingerline, London

It’s difficult writing a post about a very secret event. But it was so mind-blowingly good that I’m going to give it a shot.

A lot of you may have heard about Gingerline already, or even been to one of their events. For those who don’t know anything about it, Classic Gingerline is basically a theatrical supper club where you have an amazing dining adventure. The best part is, it’s super secret. You buy your tickets (when they first come out – it gets sold out swiftly!), and only a few days before will you know the dress code and rough location. Then a couple hours before the event, you get a text with the closest station to go to and the directions from there. SUPER SECRET.

Georgie was my PIC for the night, and she was just excited as I was. Not wanting to take the tube because it was such a nice day, we hopped into a cab and headed to the general part of London we were told it would be until we got that text message.

When we saw a bunch of people, we knew we’d found it. Hoorah!

By the way, super secret means no photos. There is a designated photo area and that’s about all you get!

The experience was already beginning, with the theatrical element already coming into play as we were handed our welcome drinks.

I got a few sneaky shots of the photo area for you – take what I can get.

People were let in groups at a time, so you can see us queuing up. Are you curious as to what’s going on yet?

And of course we had to take a picture in front of the main sign!

For cool events like this, I’m always skeptical as to whether the food will be good or not. If you’re wondering that too, don’t. It was a five-course meal, and everything was delicious – even my vegetarian alternatives! The girl sat next to me was a vegan and another nearby was gluten-free, so they literally cater to all your requirements.

The place was seriously cool as we walked in, and we even spotted Jonathan Ross there (probably loved it going to a no-photos event so no one could ask for a snap). I can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, and I genuinely couldn’t recommend it more! Look at our faces as we left (also tipsy enough to demand another snap, somehow finding a prop).

Each event they do goes on for a set amount of weeks, and I’m already excited for the next one – definitely getting a big group together to go! SO MUCH FUN, GO IF YOU HAVEN’T BEEN ALREADY! Never have I fangirled a supper club so hard!

If you only take one tip away from this blog (although I seriously hope you take heaps more, I give great food advice I swear), this is it! Don’t say I’ve never given you anything….
