The last time I went to Vegas, it was with about 15 girls for Frankie’s 21st Birthday. So going with your family is a little different…
It was fun though! It meant we did things like watch David Copperfield (who was AMAZING) and gamble as a team (Ming on Blackjack, Dad and I with this poker game and Mum on the slots). We also did an amazing Grand Canyon tour with Maverick Helicopters.
Ready for takeoff – Arizona here we come!
Many helicopter selfies were required.
I know both pictures look identical – I couldn’t decide which one I liked better so I included both. Sorry not sorry.
It actually only took 45 minutes, and before you knew it we were looking down at the amazing Grand Canyon. Seriously insane.
What shocked me even more is that we were flying towards 3 lunch tables, casually sat there waiting for us.
There were 6 people in a helicopter (not including the pilot), so it was us and another couple, as well as 2 other helicopters.
Possibly the coolest lunch spot?
Let the 240353834019 pictures commence!
I told you there was a lot of pictures. You don’t even want to see the rest of them on my laptop that I had to sift through to find ones where I didn’t look like a total dick that can’t pose.
And then there were the family shots. These are making it on the family calendar!
Well, we had to make the most of it, didn’t we? When are we going to come back to the Grand Canyon? EXACTLY.
Once we’d finished running around like morons, we settled down for some food. All that leg popping works up an appetite, you know.
Just a casual glass of bubbles in the canyon.
We also had a little snack pack, with a croissant, cheese, grapes, nuts and a snack bar.
Don’t expect a gourmet lunch or anything, it tastes pretty much how it looked. Did I mention that I ate my meal then finished off Ming’s?
We hopped back on the helicopter and flew back to Vegas, I reckon it took us about 4 hours in total. A great little trip, definitely something memorable to do!
It’s nice to do a different side of Vegas – I can see why so many families come here! It would have been nice to have someone with me by the pool though…
