You’d thing a giant Roman feast would’ve kept us full for a week. Which it definitely did, but when you’re only in Rome for a few more hours, it’s straight to the gelato!
And there’s only one place we go. A few years ago when we stopped through Rome, we hopped into a taxi and told him to take us to the best gelato in Rome. He took us here. We actually called up the same taxi driver for this trip too.
It’s a big place, selling not only gelato, but everything good in the world.
The line wasn’t a small one, but quick moving.
It probably helped because you had to pay before you even get into the queue. No deciding to add an extra scoop when you’re there, sadly.
3 mediums, please!
Now, to decide on the flavours. There’s enough flavours to excite and confuse you. WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO ORDER? It’s always a process of elimination for me.
A hot choice was the Nutella, which honestly tasted like Nutella scooped straight from the jar. If you’re a Nutella lover, then perfect. Otherwise it might be a little too much.
Another was the Chocolate Sorbet. Oh, the chocolate sorbet. So so so delicious and rich and full of flavour. And vegan!
Everyone said yes to gelato. The best part of having so many people with you is that you get to have a taste of so many different flavours (sharing is caring, after all).
I went for my favourites, Raspberry and Hazelnut, as well as a Cookies flavour (or Oreo, I can’t actually remember – a cookie of some sort!)
So many gelato pics!
AND THEY KEPT COMING.
There’s plenty of space to sit if you decide to eat in…
But since we only had a few hours left, we hit the road.
Back in the taxi we went, to cram in as many Rome sights as we could. Who says you can’t do the city in a day?
