First of all, I’m sorry. I had these photos all ready to go, but it must have completely slipped my mind as soon as I went on holiday (sun, sea and sand tend to do that to you). Before I went away, I was invited down to Gingerline’s Chambers of Flavour press event. You might remember Gingerline from when I went to one of their amazing classic events before. Chambers of Flavour is as cool, but a completely different experience. We weren’t experiencing the whole thing, but just sneak peaks to get us excited. And this time we could take as many photos as we liked. Hurrah!
Again, we didn’t get an exact address, but instead we received directions about how to get there. It was very easy to find, and we were greeted by the coolest space (and a cocktail).
Lots of space to stand, and even sit.
We noticed there was an upstairs, so we headed there to see what was going on.
Again, so cool. I wonder how long it took to be built.
Whaaaat is going on?
Probably the most tourist shot you’ve ever seen. “TAKE A PICTURE OF ME TURING THE VAULT!”
And here’s me getting arty.
As I was snapping away, some came up to tell us that we weren’t actually allowed up yet, and it was supposed to be a big reveal. Oops. At least I got some nice snaps without people in the way!
We went back downstairs and snacked on treats brought around. At the real event, you move room to room for different courses.
The last one was the only one I could eat. #Veggie.
I could have another drink though!
THINGS KEEP GETTING COOLER. WHEN WILL IT END?
Soon enough, we were all invited upstairs for a surprise ‘big reveal’. We tried to act shocked as we slurped on our cocktails.
Remember the headphones earlier? A group of us were told to put them on, as we watched this video (I’ll say no more!)
Afterwards, they asked who wanted to teleport. I think it was through time, or maybe to another planet/dimension? I can’t remember for sure, but I know I wanted to do it. Guess who was first to raise their hand?
The cocktail would travel with me, of course.
What happened? I guess you’d have to find out yourself.
After all the teleporting, we had a few spoons of dessert. One was a lychee sorbet, and the other was… mango? I think? Or passionfruit. I remember lychee because it was my favourite.
If you didn’t get it by now, this is the coolest space. Gingerline just nail their incredible, original concepts.
I can’t actually wait to go for real. Let me know if anyone is planning on going, or has already been!
